Nunc dimittis servum tuum, Domine

Nunc dimittis servum tuum, Domine, secundum verbum tuum in pace,

quia viderunt oculi mei salutare tuum,

quod parasti ante faciem omnium populorum,

lumen ad revelationem gentium et gloriam plebis tuæ Israel.

Lord, now you let your servant go in peace; Your word has been fulfilled: my own eyes have seen the salvation which you have prepared in the sight of every people; a light to reveal you to the nations and the glory of your people Israel.

[Lk. 2:29-32]

On February 2nd we celebrated the feast of the presentation to the temple of our Lord and the purification of his mother, our beloved Theotokos. We ask the Holy Spirit to come rest upon us so, like Simeon, we too can see the light of revelation and find a means to express it in our art.

As we move steadily toward the sacrifices of Lent, we continue to joyfully toil on the mosaic for your community. Here are some pictures for you. I hope you enjoy them!
